Successful Living Center, An intergenerational approach to adult & child daycare

A Message from the Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Veronica McKenzie

My vision for Successful Living Center, an intergenerational day care site, sprang from my personal and professional experiences. My desire to start an Alzheimer’s adult day care center began when both of my grandmothers were diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. While working with families in Alabama’s Early Intervention Program, I saw a need for day care services designed to promote the greatest potential in special needs children. As a registered nurse, wife, and mother of two children, I understand the importance of blending generations and teaching respect for people of varying needs and abilities. My goal in the creation of Successful Living Center is to provide a caring, compassionate, and uplifting environment that enhances self-esteem and self-worth for young and old.

Successful Living Center will provide day care in two separate structures, one for children and one for adults, on the same site in a neighborhood setting in Montgomery. Our program will include regular interaction between the children and the adults. I will be aided by an experienced, qualified, professional paid staff as well as an organized, well-trained, dedicated volunteer staff. We are determined to build and maintain a program where families safely trust that their loved ones consistently receive quality care. Should you need us, we look forward to serving your family.
